Playback Theatre
Playback is a theatrical style developed in the US by Jonathan Fox. It is an improvisational theatre in which the actors learn various acting and improvisation techniques, up to a point where they can listen to a story, and turn it into a show on stage. The performance, which is based on true real-life stories, takes the narrative and echoes it back in different and creative manners. Both the storyteller, and the audience, receive the gift of new insights, the notion of being understood, and a cathartic feeling.

Improvisational Theatre
Improvisational theatre, as the name implies, is a theatrical style where nothing is planned in advance. Sometimes there exists a framework of general rules — such is the case in improv contests, long form, or short form — and at other times there’s simply no framework at all.
